Agile Manifesto

Agile is a term which is used in software development which comprises of different methods and practices accordance to values and principles described in Agile Manifesto.

Background

Agile manifesto was published in 2001 by 17 software developers after finishing-up a meet in snowbird resort, Utah. The meet was to discuss lightweight development methods. The outcome of the meet was called as the Agile ‘Software Development’ Manifesto.

We are uncovering better ways of developing

software by doing it and helping others do it.

Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools

Working software over comprehensive documentation

Customer collaboration over contract negotiation

Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on

the right, we value the items on the left more.
