An element of the Satir System is a five-stage change model (see Figure 1) that describes the effects each stage has on feelings, thinking, performance, and physiology.
Any change, which creates turbulence in people life, is anything but easy. Change which puts people out of their comfort zone will create ripples in a stable environment. As a change agent, we need to understand that this is inevitable. If we want better results, in fact, results which are different from current, then something thing gotta change, hence stable environment will have some turbulence and also some resistance.
Satir model illustrates the same. As change agents, we need to constantly look to provide comfort in the when turbulence happens, guide the team through the chaos and lead them towards the transforming idea to create a new normal.
