The Agile Enterprise: Scaled-Up Coaches Required

I have admired the work of Lyssa Adkins for a long time. For some of you, who are not aware of Lyssa Adkins, she is a professional Agile coach and President of the Agile Coaching Institute, on the value of Agile coaching. You can follow her work at Agile Coaching Institute website.

Recently I got a chance to attend one of her session in Richmond and its topic was “The Agile Enterprise: Scaled-Up Coaches Required“. Below is the abstract of her talk. All credit goes to Lyssa Adkins.

“It is easy to envision a more agile enterprise with Agile at scale producing great results with minimum friction, yet we have found as a community that it is quite difficult to accomplish.  The transformation path to enterprise agility goes on in many dimensions at once and unless we have viewpoints to help us see from each of those dimensions we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past by implementing the latest “pattern” or framework and crossing our fingers that it sticks. Based on Michael Spayd’s upcoming book, Coaching the Agile Enterprise, this session will (literally) walk you through each of the four fundamental dimensions of enterprise agility so that you can learn the power and limitations of each, and so you can see which you overemphasize and which you ignore.  This is all part of “scaling ourselves up” so that we can help our organizations do the same.”
